Biography

Born Youssef Antoun Makhlouf in Bekaa Kafra, he joined the Lebanese Maronite Order and spent his final 23 years as a hermit at the Hermitage of Saints Peter and Paul near Annaya. He is remembered for his devotion to the Eucharist and became one of the most widely venerated modern saints from the Middle East.
