About this site
St. Joseph Church is a Roman Catholic church run by the Jesuits on the Monot campus of Saint Joseph University, founded in 1875. Dedicated to Saint Joseph, patron of the universal Church, its origins trace to a Jesuit seminary opened in Ghazir in the 1840s before relocating to Beirut. In 2025, the church hosted the university's 150th anniversary Mass, broadcast live in the presence of the Jesuit Superior General.
