Saint Elias Cathedral is the Maronite cathedral in Sidon, seat of the Eparchy of Sidon. Dedicated to the Prophet Elijah, patron saint of the city, whom scripture records passing through the region. Sidon is one of the Mediterranean's oldest continuously inhabited cities, a center of Christian life since antiquity.
