Mar Doumit Monastery is a Discalced Carmelite monastery in the town of Qoubaiyat. Built on the site of an older church dedicated to Saint Doumit, a martyr venerated in the Syriac tradition. Qoubaiyat is the largest Christian town in Akkar, set amid the forests and mountain waters of Lebanon's northern highlands.
