Saint Charbel Church (Annaya)

About this site

Saint Charbel Church stands a few steps west of the Monastery of Saint Maroun in Annaya, where Saint Charbel Makhlouf lived as a monk and is buried. After his beatification in 1965, the Lebanese Maronite Order built this larger church, dedicated to the saint, to welcome the growing crowds of pilgrims. It was inaugurated in 1974. Today it receives faithful from across Lebanon and the world, especially on the 22nd of every month and on his feast, the third Sunday of July.
