About this site

National Evangelical Church is one of the oldest Arabic-speaking Protestant congregations in the Middle East, founded in Beirut in 1848. Its sanctuary beside the Grand Sérail, first consecrated in 1869, was reduced to its bell tower during the Lebanese Civil War before being rebuilt in 1998. Located in Beirut's Zokak al-Blat district, the church remains an active center of Protestant worship and community life.
