About this site

Mountain of Divine Mercy is a Maronite shrine in Ghosta, founded in 2015 by Fathers Jean Bou Khalifeh and Jean Aakiki of the Congregation of Maronite Missionaries. Its 12-meter statue of Christ, completed in 2018 and designed by artist Tony Aouad, is one of the largest statues of Jesus in Lebanon. Overlooking the Bay of Jounieh, the shrine's hillside is also home to chapels honoring Saints Charbel, Rafqa, and Mother Teresa, as well as the recently completed Church of Saints Peter and Paul.
