Cathedral of Our Lady of Gifts

About this site

Cathedral of Our Lady of Gifts is the Maronite cathedral of Adma w Dafnah, set in the hills above Jounieh in the Keserwan District of Mount Lebanon. It serves as the cathedral of the Jounieh region of the Maronite Patriarchal Diocese and hosts major diocesan and parish celebrations. It is dedicated to Our Lady of Gifts, a Marian title honoring the Virgin Mary as the bestower of divine graces. The parish was officially founded on 29 May 1999, and the cathedral seats around 500 worshippers, with a parish hall for 400 people, meeting rooms, parking for about 200 cars and a large square in front of its entrance. The parish also includes a smaller church dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary. The Maronite Patriarch has presided over Lenten prayers here during a pastoral visit to the region, and the cathedral regularly hosts weddings, funerals and memorial Masses for families across Keserwan.
