Saydet al Qarn Church stands at an elevation of approximately 2,056 meters in the mountains above Aaqoura, making it one of Lebanon's notable high-altitude mountain churches. Dedicated to the Virgin Mary under the title of Our Lady of the Horn (Saydet al Qarn), it overlooks the surrounding peaks of the Jbeil highlands. The church lies about 3.5 kilometers from the Baatara Gorge sinkhole, where a waterfall plunges 255 meters into a Jurassic limestone cave, and is close to the mountain village of Laqlouq, making it a natural stop for hikers exploring the area. Aaqoura, at around 1,600 meters above sea level, is a historic mountain village known for its long-standing Christian heritage.
