Sin El Fil

About this site

Al Saydeh Maronite Church is a spacious, modern parish in Sin El Fil, dedicated to the Virgin Mary. It stands directly beside Sayidat al-Beir (Our Lady of the Well), a small archaeological church reputed, according to a plaque on its fence, to be the oldest Maronite church along the Metn coast. Sin El Fil is a densely populated Beirut suburb, its parish drawing large crowds each August 15th for the Feast of the Assumption.
